This one-hour course provides an overview of the major environmental laws and regulations of our time and the specific standards that outline requirements to comply with them. The content in this course is designed to comply with the intent of the applicable regulatory requirements. Learner objectives are to: define the purpose of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA); specify the purpose of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA); specify the purpose of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), also known as Superfund; specify the purpose of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA); and identify the intent of various laws.
